Summer is approaching here in the
Philippines and planning a summer vacation excites me with many great ideas of
what to do, where to go and more. As a fresh collage graduate, my parents
thought about going somewhere and they let me choose where to go as a reward
for passing my marketing course.
So, I chose
Subic in Olongapo because it’s closer to
Manila, easy to drive to, and the best thing - people always come here
for the beach. Its convenient – even if
is not that great like a white sand in
Boracay.
Anyway, throwing a beach barbecue party
was a great idea. Everybody was so excited especially my younger brother. I
took my two best friends as well.
After we checked in to the hotel, we
decided to drive around the area before hitting the market and the beach for
the little party. And because we didn't know about the area that much, luckily
there was a very nice receptionist in the hotel who helped us out – she gave
some advice on where to find the things that we were going to use in the
barbecue party.
One of the places that she recommended
was this place called
Bretto's Deli and Grocery. Thank goodness, we
didn't have to go somewhere else to eat because they had a coffee shop as well,
as we were all feeling hungry.
I noticed that most of their customers
were ordering hamburgers and sandwiches, so I decided to try their hamburger.
Amazing how big their burger was and so delicious. I can see now why their
customers like it.
After we ate, we hit the grocery and
started grabbing what we needed for the barbecue party. It was so convenient –
this place is where you can find anything you need. They carry meats, breads, sausages,
vegetables, wines and many more.
Finally, we hit the beach and started
preparing some dishes. Me and my friends did the sausage and meat grilling
while drinking some wines too :-)
My vacation was so awesome and so us
everyone. Good food and good place. I will definitely recommend to my friends
those places that I found especially the
Bretto's coffeeshop with their unique burgers and
sandwiches.Just don't forget to put it on your lists of where to go.
